The Solutions Consultant for Indirect Tax for South-East Asia (SEA), based in Singapore, will be responsible for driving gross sales by proactively developing and helping to close solutions sales opportunities, through engaging/assisting customers in the sales process and providing solution and product expertise.

Your knowledge of the domain and customer will assist our sales team qualify, scope and ultimately win key deals in the SEA region. Through your subject matter expertise in indirect tax, you will be able to build strong relationships with the customer by understanding their pain points and identifying the right offerings that meet their solution requirement.

You will be a technology advocate, someone who is comfortable talking to trends in the market around your subject matter and building market making wins alongside the Sales team, to drive continued growth in the indirect tax portfolio.

About The Role

As a Solutions Consultant - Indirect Tax, you will be responsible of the following:

  • Solution Consulting: Provide solution and product expertise to support sales teams in defining and scoping solutions that meet customer needs, leveraging Thomson Reuters' suite of indirect tax products, including ONESOURCE Determination, Compliance, and e-invoicing (Pagero).
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customer requirements and develop proposals that showcase the capabilities of Thomson Reuters' indirect tax products, differentiating them from competitors and demonstrating how they can fulfill customer needs.
  • Product Demonstrations: Manage and execute product demos during the customer buying cycle to showcase product capabilities.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Respond quickly to new leads, progress deals through the sales cycle, and develop new opportunities to meet or exceed recurring and outright Gross Sales quotas, utilizing Thomson Reuters' indirect tax products as a key differentiator.
  • Domain Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry news, policy changes, and regulations related to indirect tax to maintain thought leadership and expertise, and to effectively position Thomson Reuters' products as solutions to customer challenges.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Utilize Salesforce and other CRM databases to maintain accurate customer and opportunity data, enhancing customer insight and forecasting, and ensuring effective engagement with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as a customer advocate, assisting with complex renewals, retention situations, and driving the closure of complex deals, while also presenting thought leadership internally and externally, and demonstrating the value of Thomson Reuters' indirect tax products in addressing customer needs.

About You

As a Solutions Consultant - Indirect Tax, you should possess the following:

  • Industry experience: 5-7 years of experience in supporting solutions, preferably in indirect tax and e-invoicing domains.
  • Strong client-facing skills: Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills to interact with clients effectively.
  • Sales mindset: A 'closer' mindset with the ability to drive sales and close deals.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: In-depth understanding of finance, tax, and accounting departments, including systems and workflows, to identify client needs and opportunities.
  • Commercial skills: Strong commercial acumen, including experience with the sales process, bid management, and responding to RFP/RFIs.
  • Consultative and problem-solving skills: Ability to provide consultative services, solve client problems, and identify opportunities for Thomson Reuters' products and services.
  • Multi-project management: Capacity to handle multiple pre-sales projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and identify up-sell opportunities for Tax/Accounting Solutions and Thomson Reuters' products and services.
