Credit Collector/Analyst

Huntsman is seeking a Credit Collector/Analyst supporting the Corporate Treasury & Credit Division located in Heredia, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Credit Manager US.

Job Scope

To support the business in the management of credit exposure and collection of trade debt for the AMS Region. Support business division with credit exposure of more than $70 million.

In summary, as the Credit Collector/Analyst, you will:

• Manage the collection of accounts in an assigned portfolio to ensure compliance with payment terms and credit limits utilizing ERP System like SAP.
• Assist the team in achieving annual targets on collections and support credit risk assessments of our credit analysis shared service team.
• Tracking and resolution of unapplied/unidentified payments.
• Knowledge of external risk agencies such as Credit Risk Monitor and agencies like S&P, Moody’s and others are a plus.
• Monitor, review and approval of sales orders on credit hold.
• Dispute management and resolution, which requires frequent interaction with sales, the pricing team and customer service to resolve them.
• Support SOX, Audit and Compliance as required.
• Complete internal reporting aimed to communicate about collections forecast, order management compliance, and month/quarterly end close status.
• Follow instructions and perform other related functions as may be assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field of study. 3+ years of work experience in similar roles can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience in similar roles.

• Proficient in English (B2+) and Spanish, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred.
• Experience in Credit Analysis is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of external risk agencies such as Credit Risk Monitor and agencies like S&P, Moody’s and others are a plus.

Working Environment

This job requires working from our office in Heredia 3 times a week, so the candidate must be able to commute to the office on the required schedule.
