Role Overview


We are looking for a Senior Murex Consultant for a FTE position with strong functional and technical expertise in Murex and domain expertise in FX Options and working knowledge of Interest rate derivatives.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working across multiple Murex modules and a strong understanding of the various business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and support Murex solutions for FX Options and Interest rate derivatives
  • Work closely with Risk and Operations teams to gather and translate business requirements
  • Implement and enhance various murex modules including Front office, risk management and operations.  Candidate needs to possess working knowledge of front office modules and expertise in risk and operations.
  • Work in projects and enhancements in Murex MRA/MRB module, datamart and Mxmlexchange
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with the Murex platform
  • Strong expertise in FX Options
  • Good understanding of interest rate derivatives products
  • Experience working with multiple murex modules like MxML, datamart and interfaces
  • Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management and processes
  • Good sql knowledge and nice to have coding skills in Java and python
  • Ability to work in Agile delivery environment
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Prior experience with global banking clients
  • Experience in murex upgrades and large scale implementations

Nice-to-have

  • Progamming experience with Java and/or Python
  • Good understanding of financial products and trade risk management is a major plus
  • Extensive exposure to analytics and quantitative finance, excellent problem solving skills
  • Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
  • Accept and successfully execute change while keeping them focused on business priorities
