Position Title: Senior Mental Health Clinician - Eating Disorders Outpatient Service
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time
Hours per week: 24
Position Grade: Level 3 Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Nurse Consultant
Salary: Starting from $108,595, per annum (pro-rata)

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a small specialist team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the mental health outpatient service. This is a permanent part-time role working alongside a dietician in the provision of outpatient care to clients experiencing eating disorders as a primary mental health condition. This role also includes providing education and capacity building within the SVH Inner City Health Service in regard to the identification and treatment of eating disorders.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic senior mental health clinician who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from mental health clinicians who are experienced in the clinical treatment of eating disorders using holistic, psychosocial and person-centred approaches.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Relevant tertiary degree in allied health or nursing and eligible for membership for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with evidence of extensive clinical experience in a hospital or health related field as a practicing Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Nurse Consultant; or minimum two year full-time equivalent APAC-accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology.

3. Demonstrated expertise, skills and experience in mental health and ability to work collaboratively with consumers within a trauma informed, recovery and strengths orientated framework.

4. Experience in clinical practice using evidence-based interventions to address the needs of people with eating disorders.

5. Sound knowledge of the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of people with eating disorders including knowledge of eating disorders service provision across private and public health settings, demonstrating strong working knowledge of up to date and evidence-based eating disorder practice principles

6. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams in a high demand environment with competing demands

7. Demonstrated experience in liaising, consulting and educating on medical and/or mental health issues with health professionals e.g. GP's, Nurses, and Allied Health, involved in the management and treatment of inpatients and/or clients in the community.

8. Ability to lead and contribute to research/projects/quality and education activities with high level oral, written communication and negotiation skills.
