  • Your New Role…

As the FP&A Director, you will be part of the FP&A COE OPEX Team supporting Networks and DTC segments for Domestic business. Your main responsibility is to ensure proactive and timely high-quality forecasting, reporting and analysis in the OPEX spend and supporting the business partners in decision making. You will manage a team of FP&A managers and analysts, and you ensure deep knowledge and competencies are developed within the team. You will deploy world class end to end financial processes within the managed domain and ensure alignment with other FP&A teams and business partners.

The candidate should be able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure and tight deadlines during critical FP&A delivery periods. A successful candidate will be able to navigate an ever changing, dynamic environment with a positive attitude and seek opportunities to drive efficient processes and challenge the status quo. It will also require the management and development of the direct team, making sure that there is a consistent message provided to the leadership on time. This role will also require well-understanding of the data structure and matrix reporting structure.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Lead, coach and develop team of managers and analysts
  • Manage transitions of activities from local finance into center of excellence FP&A structures,
  • Serve as key business partner to leadership teams, providing flawless reporting, data and insights.
  • Provide high quality financial information and insights to business partners and finance leadership,
  • Build strong relationships with business partner FP&A teams to enable the flow of information and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure deep knowledge withing the team related to Networks and DTC non personnel costs (marketing, research, production, other SG&A),
  • Design and maintain cost KPIs and benchmarking analysis which can be reviewed on regular basis by business,
  • Implement and maintain standard FP&A processes within managed domain and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of these processes (month end close, forecast, budget),
  • Supporting the month end close process from an FP&A perspective with variance analysis
  • Summarizing key findings to support discussions and decision making with the business
  • Identify and execute improvement potential in financial planning and reporting processes
  • Build analytical capabilities within CoE beyond e.g. P&L analysis to provide ad-hoc business support
  • Drive process simplification initiatives. Collaborate across boundaries and share best practices with other FP&A teams.
  • Participate and lead transformation projects related to OPEX Nets/DTC (e.g. ERP and EPM systems implementation and process re-design and stabilization)
  • Work proactively together with the Business Partners on special projects in the area of opex (system implementations, standard process design, development of required reporting)
  • Provide high-quality (ad-hoc) analysis to Senior Finance Leadership,
  • Take a lead in the multiple initiatives with high attention to details and execution of the progress,

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 10+ years’ of demonstrated experience in a large corporate, or relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of leading the team,
  • Superior problem solving,
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills,
  • Progressive experience and deep understanding of the business from finance perspective,
  • Working experience with financial control, management reporting and business analyses, preferably within a global environment in multinational organization
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data and to translate this into concrete actions,
  • High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation
  • Experience in using ERP systems as SAP/Peoplesoft and EPM solutions such as SAP BPC, Oracle EPM/SmartView
  • Strong PC fluency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, are essential,
  • Proactive and hands-on,
  • Team player who embraces change,
  • Organized, self-motivated to deliver a quality product, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with multiple stakeholders,
  • Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities,
  • Project management, change management and process improvement experience
  • Business driven attitude and a sparring partner for management
  • CIMA, ACCA qualification is a plus,
