We have an immediate opening for a Director of TDS/TBSM Transformative Engineering & Production Engineering (PE) in our Singapore office.
What you’ll do:
Transform and modernize our TDS/TBSM application management services (AMS) via DecSecOps, AIOps, SRE and Production Engineering tooling, core capabilities, and the best practices.
Globally accountable executive for helping AVP, PE with the build out of modern engineering driven App Support capability for intelligent and client centric tech operational resiliency across TDS/TBSM Technology tech stack for tomorrow's dealer. Build an automated PE management platform
Responsible for directing and overseeing 1) the support for TDS/TBSM operational reliability and resiliency is proactively managed on an ongoing basis and 2) to lead PE transformation deliverables are successfully managed and executed.
Accountable for the implementation of TDS/TBSM Production Engineering (PE) Strategy.
Directs and oversees PE projects/initiatives with overall improvement of the PE application portfolio health, resiliency, and reliability and acts as TDS representative for the broader firm level resiliency/SRE programs
Responsible for directing and overseeing the TDS PE transformation team to ensure that PE deliverables are successfully managed and executed.
Responsible for overnight batches monitoring, ensure all batches delivered and meeting SLAs, Bring efficiencies in batch management by Reducing the batch execution times.
Manage the off hours support and align with global partners on PE initiatives for capital market's trading and Book of record systems.
Job Requirements
Required experience we're seeking to lead our Transformation:
You are an experienced engineer, who have successfully supported large-scale technology transformations in the past and formed SRE/PE teams from the get-go. You possess the front office, middle office, and back-office infrastructure and/or application operations as well as modern engineering experience from the top tier capital markets/securities firm in the low latency/high frequency trading.
You have managed global Application support, Infrastructure Rationalization, containerization enabled most optimal and efficient alignment resiliency across Global Markets & CIB Technology stack.
You bring in holistic automation and hands-on product and platform engineering experience leading application/infrastructure support, rationalization & modernization initiatives in the large banks.
You will bring-in the SRE/PE successful implementation best practices and know-how to implement App Support transformation journey with production engineering road map by implementing engineering solutions and services for enterprise-level modern application management capability.
You’ll bring in past DEVOPS, DevSecOps, Containerization, Kubernetes, traditional enterprise platforms, and applications modernization with container as a service, LLT/HFT application performance optimizations and the capital markets trading workflow automation experience.
Ability to be both player & coach: You’ll role model our engineering culture change by adopting SRE and the production engineering framework -- most importantly, you are passionate engineering leader who enjoy working with people and will coach and mentor colleagues on the modern engineering best practices to minimize toil and promote reuse.
Job Qualifications
Managed support teams for capital markets/trading, investment banking is a must
Organizational leadership, ability to inspire teams, grow leaders, and attract great talent
Deep expertise in the IT operations and engineering both in the IT infrastructure and in the application platforms, legacy enterprise transformation by engineering the performant distributed systems across multi-cloud platforms.
Understanding of Risk, Valuations for trading products, Market making and pricing systems, Book of Records.
Demonstrated strategic thinking & problem-solving skills and ability to engage in substantive dialogue on complex issues and policies.
Solution focused takes ownership of requests; be timely in follow up; resourceful in information gathering and persuasive communication.
Understanding of cultural differences and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Flexibility to work across different time zones and manage a global team.
Well versed in the on-prem, exchange co-lo's as well as modern cloud native technologies and next gen technology stacks. Recent containerization/K8S and public cloud experience either with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Hands on K8S experience across either is a bonus
Bachelor's degree and Master's in Technology is a plus
