What is this role?
The Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in driving marketing initiatives from start to finish, managing multiple projects across channels, and ensuring their timely execution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role is responsible for ensuring all marketing efforts align with Cirkul’s business goals and objectives, leading to impactful results.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results: You will partner with the marketing leadership team on executing marketing campaigns that align with business objectives, ensuring project milestones are met, and driving key results. Your focus will be on delivering successful marketing initiatives, optimizing resource allocation, and improving ROI.
- Taking Ownership: You will manage project deliverables, anticipate roadblocks, and ensure campaigns stay on track and on time. Your leadership and accountability will ensure success in all marketing endeavors.
- Making Decisions: You will make critical decisions on project scope, timelines, and resource management. Using data insights and collaboration with stakeholders, you’ll identify opportunities for improvements and recommend course corrections as necessary.
- Cultivating Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders is key. You will collaborate across departments to ensure that marketing strategies are aligned and that everyone is working towards shared goals.
- Instilling Trust: You will be the reliable point of contact for the marketing leadership team, providing regular project updates and transparent communication. By consistently meeting deadlines and delivering quality results, you’ll foster trust across teams and with stakeholders.
- Customer Focus: Your ability to understand customer needs and align marketing campaigns to meet those needs will be essential. You’ll ensure marketing outputs resonate with target audiences, resulting in stronger customer engagement and brand loyalty.
What background should you have?
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing project management, with a proven track record of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
- Experience collaborating with creative, digital, and sales teams to drive successful marketing initiatives.
- Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
- PMP certification or other project management certifications are a plus.
