Description:

Purpose and Impact:

Joining Sleeman means being part of a legacy of innovation and integrity. As the National Forecast Analyst, your work will directly impact our ability to anticipate market trends and ensure operational excellence across Canada.

Reporting to the Senior National Forecast Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the Beer & RTD sales forecast for the Canadian market. Your analytical expertise will help refine forecasts, identify trends, and communicate insights that enable timely and accurate decision-making across the organization. By collaborating with regional Sales & Marketing Directors, the National Supply Chain Manager, and regional Financial Analysts (SFAs), you will ensure alignment between forecast data and business priorities. Your work will contribute to optimizing inventory, improving service levels, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth and efficiency. Through rigorous analysis and proactive communication, you will help Sleeman stay ahead of market dynamics and deliver forecasting excellence.

Responsibilities

Forecasting & Analysis

  • Support and maintain the Beer & RTD sales forecast for the Canadian market, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare documentation and reports to support key stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Communicate weekly forecast changes to Supply Chain teams so demand and production plans can be adjusted accordingly.
  • Conduct regular analysis of historical sales and distribution trends to provide insights for Sales and Marketing planning.
  • Analyze and report on trends and impacts of various activities on forecast (e.g., brand performance, volume changes, cannibalization, holidays, promotional execution).

Collaboration & Communication

  • Proactively consult with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to support the Senior National Forecast Specialist in developing monthly latest estimates and annual budget forecasts.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing, Regional Sales Planners, Supply Chain Managers, Production teams, and third-party partners (co-packers/repackers) to ensure timely analysis and mitigate risks to delivery while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Participate in regional commercial SMAC meetings and lead forecast discussions during weekly regional S&OP meetings, including forecast accuracy, new SKU introductions, and promotional activities.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Report and measure weekly/monthly forecast performance and provide updates on discontinuous activity.
  • Update weekly S&OP reports and support the annual Margin Enhancement exercise and delist process for identified items.
  • Provide ad-hoc forecasting and reporting as required.
  • Support the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) by reporting concerns, integrating FSMS requirements into supply chain activities, and driving continual improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Math, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of forecasting applications.
  • Understanding of MRP/DRP applications and inventory management principles.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Working knowledge of Smoothie forecasting or similar systems considered an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent customer service orientation.
  • High-level analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to supporting and projecting values compatible with the organization.

Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required.
  • This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with an expectation of three in-office days per week and flexibility in selecting on-site days.
