In this role you will lead, coordinate, develop and implement strategies and programs designed to maintain the continuity of Patagonia’s business and help deliver our commitment to ensuring a safe and equitable work environment free from harassment and discrimination. You will set the company’s strategies and policies in areas such as business continuity planning, crisis response planning, workplace safety, disaster preparedness and emergency operations, administering global emergency response plans and related systems implementation. You will work across departments and regions throughout the company to implement and oversee related tactical plans. What You’ll Do
Employee Safety
Improve upon and administer an employee safety compliance program covering OSHA requirements, the company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and any applicable related regulations.
Advise and partner with the company’s campus operations teams to design and refine a strategy and operational plan for Patagonia’s physical security that is grounded in equitable treatment for all.
Act as centralized point of contact and resource center for all safety issues for Patagonia globally.
Build incident response teams, operating in accordance with tailored, specific, documented protocols.
Develop and manage the safety program for employees traveling for work.
Emergency Planning and Business Continuity
Establish plans for business resiliency and continuity to minimize disruption from unplanned events.
Coordinate and prepare emergency response teams at all global locations, training, drills and exercises to embed safety and business continuity plans and protocols.
Select, manage and maintain related vendors, services and systems.
Conduct resilience assessment of each business unit and geographical location and ensure all have recovery and resilience plans. Continually assess and update plans ensuring they are current and reflect the current business and global environment.
Crisis Response and Risk Monitoring Lead
Monitor and advise on global threats to employee safety from natural disasters to geo-political unrest. Internal subject matter expert on continuity risk and geopolitical risk.
Act as the main point of contact and lead coordinator for company crisis response. Responsible for organizing and partnering with a cross functional team of subject matter experts to effectively and efficiently respond to a crisis event.
Able to respond to critical events anywhere and anytime.
Coordinate medical, security and evacuation support.
Conduct regular cadence of crisis leadership tabletop simulations.

Experience You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years’ experience with a successful track record in leading business continuity and/or crisis response
Retail, distribution center or manufacturing facility experience
Global experiences a plus
High level of comfort working with technology and systems
Hiring range: $160,000-$180,000 USD Annual
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget. Note the full pay range for this role ranges from: $144,000-$216,000 USD Annual. The Hiring Range reflects where in the range we intend to hire for this role.
