This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
Comcast’s Corporate Accounting and Reporting team is responsible for the enterprise-wide financial consolidation process and preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports. In addition, the team researches and assesses new accounting standards, ESG regulations and requirements, and works closely with the Cable, NBCU, and Sky teams on their accounting and reporting processes.
Corporate Accounting and Reporting consists of the following:
External financial reporting – SEC reporting, earnings release reporting
Corporate Controllership – consolidations, controllership
Technical Accounting – accounting research and policies, accounting for acquisitions
ESG Controllership – support for the company’s ESG initiatives and ESG related regulatory reports
Role Description
As an Intern on the Corporate Accounting and Reporting team, you will play a key role supporting the monthly and quarterly consolidations, external reporting processes, and ESG reporting related processes.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In your role, you will have the opportunity to work across the Corporate Accounting and Reporting teams supporting each of the above-mentioned functions. Projects include supporting the quarterly 10-Q report, peer research and analysis, and assessment of domestic and international ESG related reporting requirements.
Where can this student make an impact?
Success in this role is characterized by ownership of key processes and roles within the quarterly reporting timeline, development of an understanding of select ESG regulations and topics, and identification of process improvements in your responsible areas.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monthly and quarterly financial close activities
Review of external and internal financial reporting deliverables including the 10-Q and financial statement analysis
Preparation of consolidated rollforwards
Researching recent and upcoming ESG related standards and guidance and assisting with the development of executive summaries in addition to conducting peer ESG analysis
Supporting audit processes as well as collaborating cross functionally across the organization with both corporate and business unit teams
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $25.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
