Euronext’s purpose is to shape capital markets for future generations. As such, Euronext has a special position in the financial ecosystem. It serves the real economy by bringing together buyers and sellers in transparent, efficient and reliable trading venues.

Euronext is the leading pan-European market infrastructure, connecting European economies to global capital markets, to accelerate innovation and sustainable growth. Euronext operates regulated and transparent equity and derivatives markets, one of Europe’s leading electronic fixed income trading markets and is the largest centre for debt and funds listings in the world. Its total product offering includes Equities, FX, Exchange Traded Funds, Warrants & Certificates, Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities and Indices. The Group provides a multi-asset clearing house through Euronext Clearing, and custody and settlement services through Euronext Securities central securities depositories in Denmark, Italy, Norway and Portugal.

Euronext Securities, the leading CSD network connecting European economies to global capital markets, is Euronext’s Central Securities Depositories business. It includes 4 CSDs across Denmark, Italy, Norway and Portugal, represents in total +6 trillion euros of assets under custody and 250 million euros of revenues in 2023.

For Euronext Securities, convergence consists of rolling out a common service, supported by a common information technology system, starting for instance with Corporate Actions. Its purpose is to provide financial institutions with a single client experience, thus reducing the cost, risk and complexity of post-trade fragmentation in Europe.

The Programme covers the full project lifecycle including design, definition of requirements, build of the IT system, testing, migration of the 4 CSDs, regulatory approvals when appropriate.  It is sponsored by the Group Chief Operating Officer and the Head of Central Securities Depositories, both members of Euronext’s Executive Committee.
