Job Description:

  • Role Title: Clinical Support Officer

  • Role Type: Maximum Term, Part-Time (24 hours per week) until June 2026

  • Role Grade: Administration Officer Level 3, (Levels 1–2)

  • Department and Location: Gamble Aware, Southeastern Sydney – Alcohol & Drug Service, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst

  • Salary: $68,338.78 – $70,468.73 (pro-rata) + superannuation + salary packaging

About the role

  • Be the first point of contact for GambleAware: provide excellent administrative support and customer service, and support patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Keep things running smoothly: handle administrative, clerical, and data management tasks including patient records, audits, and reporting to support managers and clinical teams.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams: liaise effectively with nursing, medical, allied health, and support staff to ensure seamless operations.

  • Support operational processes: assist with rosters, payroll queries, equipment management, and quality or compliance initiatives.

  • Champion professionalism and confidentiality: maintain a patient-focused approach, uphold hospital policies, and contribute positively to our team culture while learning and growing in your role.

About you

  • Demonstrates excellent front-line customer service, showing compassion, empathy, and professionalism in every interaction.

  • Confident with computer systems, including Word, Excel, databases, email, HR, payroll, and electronic clinical information systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders both in person and over the phone.

  • Organised and solution-focused, capable of managing time, prioritising tasks, and resolving problems efficiently.

  • Experience in healthcare administration, with sensitivity to vulnerable clients, commitment to confidentiality, and a dedication to continuous professional development
