Leads and manages programs such as the Tier 1 program and special projects. Partners with business units to successfully prioritize and deliver on strategic initiatives. Provides expertise in establishing project management offices, project and program management, risk and issue management, and stakeholder analysis.
Principle Duties:
Create and manage an effective framework for Tier 1 projects (high dollar and multi-function impacting) to be submitted, reviewed, vetted with key stakeholders, and reviewed by senior leadership representatives for strategic and financial alignment.
Directs and manages project managers and others or acts as an individual contributor on managing the Tier 1 program and associated processes.
Assures appropriate communication and coordination with business sponsors, IT project owners and project team members to facilitate understanding of project needs and goals. Organizes and leads quarterly and ad-hoc sessions to provide project information to the Tier 1 Prioritization Committee for strategic decision making.
Responsible for Tier 1 business cases with respect to completeness and understandability and assures submissions and updates follow the governing processes. Provides guidance and expertise in issue management and resolution related to the Tier 1 process.
Partners with Global Technologies and Finance to align on processes, budgets, and other data. Likewise, partners with the various other PMOs across RGA to determine share best practices. Begin to pave the way for standardization where helpful and needed.
Performs as an experienced and proficient Change Lead in the organization. Works closely with Change Management team to support RGA workforce as they deliver projects and products and adopt changes related to new products and process/system updates.
Identify process improvement needs and partner with Process Improvement team to actively work toward advancing processes at RGA.
Manages completion of special projects as they arise and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent related work experience Required
Work Experience:
5+ Years experience in insurance/reinsurance Required
10+ Years management experience Required
Licenses and Certifications:
Project Management certification Preferred
Certified Scrum Master designation Preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies Required
Advanced project and program management skills. Organizational Change Management experience. Required
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Required
Advanced ability to comprehend and interpret business case documents Required
Highly advanced problem-solving skills. Advanced ability to identify gaps in business processes, then perform analysis and create plans to improve the processes Required

Compensation Range:
$126,710.00 - $188,840.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
