Our practice management software (PIMS) solutions are a core component of our business unit and serve as a key area for ensuring continued customer satisfaction.

What can you expect?

As a Product Manager working on our practice management software (PIMS) solutions Team, you will play a critical role in of our customer’s overall experience and satisfaction.

In this role, you will join a strong development squad and play a key role in prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog to maximize ROI and UX on development investments, primarily on the Cornerstone platform. You will draw on previous agile experience to consult, design/optimize, and train on best practices, and champion improvements that help us reach product goals more efficiently, aligning them with key existing organizational processes where possible.

Additionally, you will elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements. You will translate business requirements for technical staff and assist in development of valuable user-centric solutions. Often, you will perform analysis of business goals, product objectives and user needs to guide continued product-market fit. 

A day in the life:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of products and capabilities from conception to delivery, to maintenance and bug fixes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management leadership on the product roadmap.
  • Translate business process or concepts into technical requirements (and vice versa)
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Work as part of a team to track and report on progress towards product goals.
  • Compile and execute use of tools, templates and processes for business analysts and project teams.
  • Support the team by exemplifying a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate within and across teams on the creation of product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Research and analyze market trends, competition, and user needs to inform the product roadmap
  • Maintain working knowledge of current Agile best practices and new trends, and share/train across the team.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements based on the needs of the users.
  • Review requirements and feature designs with users to validate feature improvements and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced degree in technology or business preferred
  • Technical understanding related to hardware, software devices, network architecture and the dynamics that impact their performance.
  • Experienced in agile product development – Jira experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for communicating within and across teams – in-person and virtually.
  • 4-6+ years of related professional business experience, project management experience, and/or related product experience.
  • Demonstrated success ensuring product-market fit and maintaining strong processes and products.
  • Experience or requisite technical literacy related to on-premises and cloud software development and delivery is a must
