As part of the Client Profitability & Pricing Analytics team, the Client Production Associate reports to the Client Profitability Platform Senior Manager and supports critical technical attributes of the platform, including research, troubleshooting, production support, ad hoc reporting, data analytics and dashboards, and ensures profitability data enables front-line teammates to best serve their clients. This role requires strong background in Client Profitability, Excel, data wrangling and transformation, and Platform production operations. Experience in or a willingness to learn commercial lending and other banking products is highly beneficial.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

1. Support the Client Profitability team in leveraging data to inform business strategy. Provide research, analysis, and project management support to meet business and financial objectives.

2. Leverage data to identify areas of opportunity, processes, and improvements in the business, including recommend and execute pricing strategies for Truist.

3. Identify ways to do things better and achieve better business outcomes, work collaboratively within a team of outspoken people.

4. Work with cross-functional leadership to understand business needs and solve complex problems.

5. Assist with creation and usable insights for competitive intelligence and market data, including: loan rate surveys, data consortiums, market share data, website surveys and reviews, and create change summaries.

6. Manage pricing and profitability models and methodologies to assist with segment pricing capabilities. Guides product and portfolio profitability (loan pricing, relationship profitability, or valuation models, tools and/or calculators, data sets etc.).

7. Gather data and perform analytics to properly back test and validate models and documents assumptions that provide the basis for pricing and profitability measurement.  Design and implement model documentation, monitoring & back testing routines.

8. Prepare and analyze product, pricing and program financials and develop executive-level management presentations, business reviews, key findings and recommendations.

9. Provide research, insights, and ad hoc reporting for production and related activities to Commercial Bankers, Investment Bankers, Wealth Advisors, and other users of the Client Profitability platform.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of experience with data analytics, Excel, or production/operations-related activities for a fintech, bank, or other revenue-producing company. Equivalent education with coursework (university, college, or accredited specialty program) may be considered in lieu of work experience.

2. Experience in usage of business intelligence (BI) tools, SAS and/or SQL and managing big datasets

3. Experience working directly with bankers, advisors, and other client-facing professionals on time-sensitive research requests

4. Strong execution and delivery skills; ability to translate concepts into concrete analytical and report deliverables, establish plans, structure and staff, develop systems and processes, manage execution, and work efficiently

5. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise

6.Bachelor’s degree in business management, statistics, business or marketing analytics, mathematics, finance, data science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent education and related training.

7. Clear communication skills; ability to speak effectively, foster open communication, listen to others and deliver presentations, including persistence and ability to negotiate with and influence senior leadership decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Banking credit product knowledge from a product, sales, risk, and/or operational perspective in Commercial Lending and/or Capital Markets

2. Knowledge of theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts and techniques (cash flow models, ROE, economic capital, funds transfer pricing, etc.), including the ability to perform the mathematical calculations, develop models, tools and methodologies which replicate financial mathematics of various financial instruments.

3. Experience in commercial banking

The annual base salary for this position is $82,000 - $102,500
