In this position you will manage multiple audit projects, provide supervision and oversight to other auditors, and develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key audit contacts. You will also oversee the audits of new and/or existing processes to ensure that appropriate controls exist, the process is efficient and accurate, and procedures are in compliance with standards. Inherent in the position is applying advanced knowledge to the completion of complex assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple and concurrent projects in accordance with department standards for quality. 
  • Communicates audit progress and results to both department and business unit management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepares timely reports/memos that detail the results of work and improvement recommendations.
  • Manages the development of the annual risk assessment and resulting audit plan.
  • Effectively identifies and evaluates the risks/impacts associated with identified processes.
  • Actively manages the development of staff and the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Manages specific client relationships to assure department is up-to-date on client activities, issues and concerns.
  • Makes effective decisions and recommends changes to procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Educates and coaches other auditors on audit principles and audit execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience. 
  • Appropriate audit experience in a managerial position, but relevant business management experience would be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of managerial experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of audit process or related work experience. 
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or related certifications preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Travel required (approx. 15 - 25%).

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
