Job Description:

St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee is the fourth hospital to open under the umbrella of St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne, a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We provide you with the highest quality healthcare, modern facilities and the latest technology.

Our Werribee campus has grown significantly over the past 2 years and continues to provide excellent clinical care to its patients.  St Vincent’s Private Werribee has now planned to expand its services opening 3 new clinical treatment areas in the next 6 months including a 14-bed rehabilitation service and expansion of its theatre complex.  

We are  recruiting for a Full time  Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team. This position will involve working clinically primarily across our rehabilitation and orthopaedic in-patient units.  You will have the opportunity to provide leadership throughout the hospital and contribute to quality improvement projects that focus on better outcomes for patients and staff. 

The in-patient services available at our Werribee campus include orthopaedic, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, general surgery, vascular, rehabilitation and oncology/infusions. Facilities include operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology/infusion unit, a cardiac catheter laboratory, and a rehabilitation gymnasium. 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • Have s, clinical skills and experience relevant for acute in-patient orthopaedic patient care and rehabilitation Occupational Therapy
  • Well developed interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and practices with a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Have the ability to identify clinical risk and implement strategies to minimise risk
  • Be motivated to traini and mentori others including students (preferred)
