The Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI) group at Disney is responsible for Subscriptions, Data and Identity platforms across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. We build a valuable and sustainable subscriber base, build and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure and pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve petabytes of data daily to power analytics, personalization, reporting, and executive decision-making across the company, build and manage the authentication and account linking infrastructure that powers secure, seamless access across Disney’s online and offline properties. CDI also supports cross-functional collaboration for experimentation and compliance underpinning seamless user experiences and operational efficiency across streaming platforms.

Job Summary:

As a Staff Data Analyst, within the Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology organization, you will be a part of a team redefining Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI). You will be responsible for driving product insights to establish a process that allows The Walt Disney Company’s Commerce business to adapt to market needs that lead to superior financial results. The right person for this role can identify business value, solve complex problems, concisely articulate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ultimately drive results. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Develop detailed analytics for tracking and reporting on various initiatives, projects, and capacity planning.
  • Identify areas for data improvement and operational tactics to enhance overall performance throughout initiative lifecycles.
  • Analyze the impact, risks, and key learnings of initiatives after their launch to assess effectiveness.
  • Act as an in-house data expert, offering strategic insights and understanding of KPIs to product teams.
  • Facilitate better collaboration between the CDI team and external partners such as Strategy, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations.
  • Develop presentations that effectively summarize analytics and insights for management review.
  • Assist in the completion of special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Identify, track, and assist in resolving dependencies and conflicts across various project portfolios.
  • Utilize data insights to inform and influence strategic decisions within the organization.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve processes and methodologies within the CDI framework.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise reports and updates on initiatives.
  • Continuously adapt strategies and processes to align with evolving market needs and drive superior financial results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of combined experience in product management, business data analytics, reporting, and operations
  • Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization
  • Understand the strategic objectives to integrate seemingly disparate goals into a broader plan for synchronized, harmonious execution while delivering high value to the organization
  • Ability to create and present materials to management to drive decision-making and tell a compelling story
  • Experience compiling data and building reports/dashboards with visualization tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, Tableau, Airtable)
  • Exhibit advanced Python, SQL, AI skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be a team player who is motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work effectively in collaborative and autonomous environments
  • Exhibit critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment with consistent change

Required Educations:

  • ·Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
