Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

• Support  project manager in project activities, including overall project coordination, deliverables, tracking, and status reporting.
• Work with business software owner/vendor, hardware, and information technology systems to develop solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency
• work with a team of developers and programmers to design and test improvements to IT systems
• Recommend and implement adequate solutions to resolve issues based on best practices.

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

• Work with cross-functional teams to ideate and create superior digital customer journey.
• Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
• Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements
• Manage the set-up and configuration of systems
• Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process
• Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms
• Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs
• Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance
• Responsible for planning and engineering an organization's cloud computing applications and services
• Implement and design hardware and software that runs entirely in the cloud
• Maintaining compliance with policies and controls, assisting in the configuration and maintenance of "sandbox" environments

 

 Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years experience working with information technologies and systems analysis in Cloud and On Premise Environment. 

 

Role-specific Requirements

• Strong computer, hardware, software, AWS Cloud and analytical skills
• Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with AWS Cloud maintenance and administration
• Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems on Cloud
• Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages
• Excellent analytical skills
