Role Definition
Provides timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management. Analyzes business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to analysts and decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May participate in cross functional teams to address business issues. Prototypes solutions for displaying information based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use and utilize automated tools for the updating
• analyze and report of consolidated financial results.
• Independent contributor to multi-person analytics teams
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to handle basic issues independently
• Provide assistance to a project team or others in the work group while learning and assisting with projects.
• Locating and obtaining data from various internal and external sources
• Rapidly iterations of new ideas and debug issues
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Degree Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in finance , business intelligence , business, economics, statistics, management, computer science or in a related field

• Relocation is not available for this position.

Top Candidates will have:

• Self-starter and driven, have a passion for finance and works well in team environment
• Working knowledge in Tableau or Power BI
• Strong attention to detail in order to spot inaccuracies in finance information
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Bi, ERP (SAP, Oracle) Snowflake is a plus"
