ASM Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating the entire food and beverage operation at the facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in directing and coordinating concession operations at the Fishers Event Center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors 

  • Markets Food and Beverage services to clients and facilitates Food and Beverage control. 

  • Assists the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction. 

  • Support client food & beverage and operational needs for the event 

  • Makes recommendations for menu/theme development for the event  

  • Assist in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates 

  • Support Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards 

  • Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations 

  • Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events. 

  • Maintains inventory control 

  • Works within guidelines for food and labor costs 

  • Analyzes information concerning facility operation such as patron attendance and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations. 

  • Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations 

  • Aware of current alcohol handling rules and regulations 

Qualifications

  • This position will work with limited supervision and will require the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.  

  • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. 

  • Serve-safe certified 

  • Valid Indiana Liquor Permit 

Education and/or Experience           

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred; minimum 2 years experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Skills and Abilities   

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and processing software. Advanced oral and written communication skills. 

  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility. 

  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills. 

  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. 

  • Assess client requirements and deliver ensuring client satisfaction 

  • Supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is essential 

  • Build and maintain relationship with vendors 

  • Ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP
