Automotive Systems Division (ASD) Senior Financial and Business Analyst primary responsibilities are to provide insightful financial analysis, reporting, and support that enables a sound business decision process.  This includes analysis of ASD's performance, and participation in the development of short-term and multi-year financial forecasts in the areas of revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expenses and capital. Special requests and ad-hoc analysis are common.

Working on multiple projects at a time, you’ll be focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges. You will also collaborate with other hardworking finance colleagues from corporate and divisional functions on decision support for a wide range of activities.

This position is being offered in a hybrid capacity (remote and onsite in Troy, MI).

Other Responsibilities and Duties:

- Support month end close process, review P&L statements, research anomalies, and field questions from senior management as needed

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Analyze the sales forecast for trends and highlight areas of concern or success

- Assist in preparing financial models and rates for pricing

- Ensure subsidiary transfer pricing is set up and transacting properly in SAP system

- Assist management with special projects and ad hoc analyses that will aid operational decision making

- Support Lean Six Sigma activities

Qualifications and Skills

- 5+ years of financial analysis or related work experience

- Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills

- Ability to interact and influence people at all levels of the organization and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Expected to develop towards an advanced level in these technologies

- Strong team player that can also work independently

- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills with attention to details 

- Forward-thinking, and takes initiative to continuously improve

- Experience in the automotive industry and SAP a plus

- Experience with data analysis and visualization technologies such as Qlikview, Tableau, and/or PowerBI a plus

Education:

BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
