The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role requires a strategic thinker with leadership skills to drive continuous improvement, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of materials. The Supply Chain Lead will collaborate cross-functionally to align supply chain processes with business objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals and support long-term growth.
- Change Management: Develop and lead change initiatives to build and improve the Supply Chain and deliver on Strategic Imperatives.
- Commercialization & Integration: Ensure successful supply chain integration of Innovation Projects in the late stage Build & Launch phases.
- Core Business Growth: Lead Core Business Growth projects including new Core SKU’s and International Growth
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning, control, and optimization, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
- Logistics & Distribution: Ensure the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to manufacturing facilities and from warehouses to customers, optimizing routes, reducing costs, and improving delivery times.
- Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply chain operations, improve processes, and reduce waste.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, finance, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with organizational needs.
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 4-6 years in a leadership role.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, derive insights, and implement solutions that drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of managing stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Technology: Proficient in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
- Project Management: Experience leading and managing large-scale supply chain projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of supply chain processes, industry trends, and best practices in areas such as procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS certification.
- Experience working in a global supply chain environment.
