35 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm on a 6 month fixed term contract based at our Skipton Head Office

You’ll be responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing all incoming and outgoing mail, no formal qualification or direct experience is required as full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The Imaging/Mailroom Function is core function at SBS .The team consists of 12 consultants which deal with all the incoming and outgoing of mail, with clients such as Royal Mail, Whistl DX Quadient and Fedex,.The Team daily retrieves mail and delivers to all teams across SBS .We deal with In-house Mailings, Communications, As expert Document Management Consultants we scan documents for all functions across the society and retain them for a month. We also use mail Click and Collect ,Franking machines and Kodax scanners. Couring to branches are to name some of many things go through the Mailroom. The Environment is fast paced and no 2 days are the same.

What Will You Be Doing?

Understanding the departmental priorities and working together as a team to achieve these, whilst displaying our core values and behaviours at all times.

Key role aspects:

  • Providing an efficient and friendly service

  • Processing and distributing printing requests

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse workforce

  • Preparing and dispatching parcels via an external supplier

  • Adhering to all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring your work is error, risk free and of the quality we expect

  • Identify efficiencies and improvements

What Do We Need From You?

We are looking for a hardworking individual, wanting to learn and progress their understanding within this busy and supportive department. Experience of providing excellent customer service and working as part of a team are a must for this role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a basic knowledge of word, excel and outlook

  • Be able to work towards tight deadlines

  • Have confidence to make decisions and use own initiative

  • Have stakeholder management and be able to communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external suppliers

  • Have the ability to give and receive relevant and constructive feedback in line with our high performance culture
