JOB SUMMARY
Design, validate, and launch new products. Accurately define functional requirements for new products. Design, test, and integrate components, finalize designs, and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Design, develop, execute, and evaluate conformity tests, product specifications, and process validation plans. Create and review component specifications and bills of materials (BOM). Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, external contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Use CAD and CAE systems to model new designs and create detailed engineering drawings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide product design engineering support for assigned products and parts. Collaborate with senior product design team members to understand the purpose and requirements of product/part designs. Develop and design assembly/system concepts based on defined objectives and requirements. Perform detailed design using CAD modeling techniques. Create models and parts quickly and accurately. Quickly implement model modifications. Apply GD&T knowledge to understand tolerance zones and perform more advanced/nonlinear tolerance stack-ups. Validate options in virtual space, evaluating proposals from others as well. Work on both primary and secondary processes, assessing the impact of design on jig complexity and cost. Adjust cost requirements for assigned projects.

担当製品や部品に対してプロダクトデザインエンジニアリングサポートを提供する。上位のプロダクトデザインチームメンバーと連携し、製品・部品設計の目的や要件を理解する。定められた目的・要件に従い、アセンブリやシステムの設計コンセプトを立案・設計する。CADモデリング技術を用いて詳細設計を行う。迅速かつ正確にモデルや部品を作成する。モデル修正を素早く実施する。GD&Tの知識を活用し、公差ゾーンの理解やより高度な/非線形公差スタックアップを行う。仮想空間で選択肢を検証し、他者が提案した案も含めて評価する。主工程・副工程の両方に取り組み、設計が治具の複雑さやコストに与える影響を評価する。担当プロジェクトのコスト要件を調整する。
