Summary:
As a Network Operations Representative, you will be responsible for configuring, integrating, and managing the life cycle of telecommunication network elements and associated configurations across Fulfillment and Assurance. Your typical day will involve managing back office system data records, supporting customer activations and configuration adjustments, and ensuring the smooth functioning of network infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient network architectures to meet business requirements.
• Evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance, security, and reliability.
• Deploy and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Develop and implement network monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and performance metrics to optimize resource utilization and ensure maximum uptime.
• Implement capacity planning strategies to accommodate growth and ensure scalability.
• Respond to network incidents and outages promptly, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis for network failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex network issues and drive resolution.
• Implement network security best practices and protocols to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data privacy.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Provide training and support to other IT staff on network-related technologies and processes.
Requirement :
• Proven experience in network engineering or a similar role, with a focus on reliability and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, load balancer , Palo Alto, etc.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in network automation
• Industry Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP is mandatory
• Any additional certification PCNSA , JNCIA, cloud certification etc., are a plus.
Qualification :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
