Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:

Accountant in Fixed Assets Team

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia 

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of fixed assets in accordance to Group deadlines and guidelines for Business unit results on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area related to fixed assets for the supported Business unit.

• Ensure close dialogue with technical leaders in Business unit about various CAPEX projects and various stakeholders in Business center. 

• Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines.

• Support and assist Fixed Assets Team Lead in organizing daily teamwork and achieving team’s operational goals.

• Maintain procedure descriptions and instructions.

• Participate in challenging improvement projects in fixed assets accounting/ reporting area.

• Take an active part in knowledge transfer project.  

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

• Relevant work experience in accounting, at least 2 years, preferably within an international work environment.

• Fluent English language skills to communicate with business units and colleagues in Europe.

• Goal-oriented, proactive, with a high level of responsibility.

• Ability to work in a changing environment.

• Good computer skills and general accounting system background (SAP, Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage).

• Improvement driven and a good team player.
