This position will reside under the Branded Cards organization within the American Airlines (Citi/AAdvantage) Product Management team. The Citi/AAdvantage card portfolio plays a critical role within this organization, combining the strengths of the world’s largest airline and the world’s largest credit card issuer to deliver award-winning products in the travel co-brand space. The American Airlines Co-Brand program is a 37-year partnership, and recently announced a 10-year extension of our partnership including reaching an agreement to acquire the Barclay’s American Airlines co-branded card portfolio, including becoming the exclusive issuer of AAdvantage co-branded credit cards starting in 4Q25. Not only is this a tremendous milestone for the partnership, but this expansion unlocks significant growth potential.
We are currently searching for a Risk & Controls Lead/Project Manager with an analytical, strategic, and operational mindset to join our Cit/AAdvantage Product Management team. Our organization recently expanded to include the Fields Sales team (who will work closely with the flight attendants, airport gate and lounge agents, and call center representatives), and the Partner Channel Program Management team (who will manage the employee communications, incentive programs, and training associated with these channels/representatives). The individual in this role will be responsible for building an enhanced control framework for the launch of new partner channels/products (e.g. airport and in-flight channel takeover from Barclays), as well as expansion of existing book of work. This individual will be tapped to provide program management oversight ensuring the right controls and processes are in place, which will help enable fast moving growth plans. Keys to success will be developing and leveraging strong partnerships with internal teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (e.g., In Business Control, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Product and Marketing owners) as well as external partners.
