Tasks and Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Maintains direct contact with Shipping to develop and communicate safe and reliable packaging methods for materials, ensuring proper delivery to external customers.

• Provides direct support to Receiving, Warehouse, Inventory Control, Purchasing, and EHS&S to ensure standardized, safe, and accurate material handling processes.

• Interacts with suppliers to design and develop the most effective packaging options for applicable materials.

• Develops, documents, and improves packaging work instructions for applicable Materials and Logistics areas.

• Implements Standard Packs based on material type, weight, and volume to define accurate and safe packaging methods.

• Collaborates with the Sequencing Center to improve packaging methods based on direct and indirect feedback from installation sites.

• Performs additional activities as assigned by the Materials Manager.

• Specific responsibilities may include one or more of the following approaches:

Lean Manufacturing: Apply and coordinate projects using Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and continuously eliminate waste.

Training: Attend required training for professional development and provide training within area of responsibility.

Continuous Improvement Projects: Generate, document, and implement continuous packaging improvement projects using Kaizen and cost-reduction tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related field

• 3–5 years of experience in packaging engineering, materials, logistics, or manufacturing environment

• Experience developing packaging solutions and standard packs

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen preferred)

• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of material handling, packaging design, and logistics processes

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good communication and documentation skills

• English proficiency preferred
