MMC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Warsaw office:

Reporting and Accounting Specialist with Polish

What can you expect?

In the Captive Operations Group we are responsible for accounting, regulatory compliance and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

We will count on you to:

  • Perform various accounting activities including: cash and investment accounts reconciliation, preparation of bank deposits and cash disbursements, performing intercompany reconciliations, valuations of assets, tracking and reconciling claims activity etc.

  • Financial statements preparing for mid-sized clients (based on IFRS)

  • Plan and complete the annual audit for clients

  • Prepare regulatory filings

  • Ensure on-going compliance with domicile insurance regulations

  • Maintain client and office databases

  • Investigate outstanding issues on client accounts and contacting with clients as needed

What you need to have:

  • Min. 3 years of professional experience related to finance or auditing

  • MA or BA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

  • Excellent command of English (B2. min.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel (formulas and data analysis)

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Open mindset towards change and engagement for continuous improvement

What makes you stand out:

  • Prior accounting experience gained in accounting office / insurance company or FSI audit

  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified or part qualified
