Great Hill is seeking an Asset and Facilities Management Specialist in Washington, D.C. and Beltsville, MD. The Asset and Facilities Management Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and management of data center assets and facilities. This position requires a valid Driver’s License and involves a variety of tasks including inventory management, transportation of IT equipment, minor repairs, and coordination with various stakeholders.

 

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support in monitoring the data center and managing all assets, ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Operate a shuttle to transport IT equipment and personnel as needed.
  • Participate in bi-annual audits to verify and update inventory records.
  • Ensure the storage room is well-organized and inventory is up-to-date.
  • Conduct minor handy repairs to maintain the functionality of the data center.
  • Address Data Center facilities issues related to computer racks, cabling, electrical systems, cooling, and safety.
  • Keep detailed spreadsheets and databases of asset inventory, ensuring compliance with performance-based metrics.
  • Manage the transfer and tracking of tagged devices within the data center.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, Project Managers, and other relevant parties.
  • Receive, review, and prepare invoices for internal and external vendor support.
  • Generate internal service requests for all related Asset and Facilities Management (AFM) tasks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License: Required for transportation duties.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to assist in monitoring data center, manage assets, and perform minor repairs.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficiency in maintaining and organizing storage rooms and updating inventory records.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with various stakeholders including customers and Project Managers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to address and resolve data center facilities issues.
