Core Responsibilities

• Provides coverage of credits in assigned sector(s). Monitors current developments affecting such credits/sectors; assesses and communicates their impact. Assumes additional industry sector or subsector responsibilities over time.
• Assesses current and projected credit quality of issuers and maintains an approved list of eligible investments for the Active Credit High Yield (HY) money market desk based on local securities regulations and department guidelines.
• Recommends the purchase and sale of securities for assigned coverage area in collaboration with trading sector specialists. Recommendations incorporate both views on credit fundamentals and relative value as appropriate.
• Contributes to strategy development in providing outlooks and actionable recommendations for investment in assigned sector (s).
• Develops and maintains relationships with portfolio managers, investment banks, issuers, rating agencies and fellow analysts.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six years related work experience, including two years primary coverage experience. Active Credit High Yield (HY) and/or Fixed Income experience preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in finance or economics or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
