PURPOSE

The purpose of a HOTEL INTERN position is to assist and train in the Hotel Operations area of the property. The intern will shadow and assist current Hotel Operations employees in the various day-to-day duties and tasks. Interns will participate in Hotel Operations activities and work on Hotel Operations programs. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Areas of Exposer and Development (includes but is not limited to the following): Management will be developing the intern in the following areas:

  • Policy, Procedures, Operations Discussion
  • Front Desk
  • Reservation
  • Night Audit
  • Bell Service
  • Room Attendant
  • Houseman
  • Laundry
  • Restaurant
  • Sales
  • Catering

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create incident reports for guest injuries / issues when required.
  • Answer all calls within three (3) rings.  All calls are to be answered in a “scripted” manner.
  • Resolve guest complaints.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
