This strategic role presents a unique opportunity to have an enterprise-wide global impact for Gas Power (GE Vernova) & the Aero Alliance JV as the focal architect of short and longer-term next gen supply chain view for sustainable operational and competitive excellence across the parts business encompassing all Aero-derivative product including LMS100, 2500, 6000.

Job Description

This leader will function as a change agent and shape and optimize all aspects of the Aero Supply Chain across internal and external options via ideations and strategic decision-making guided by the True North Make-Buy strategy, landscape, footprint, technology, capability, and capacity aligned to the business Hoshin priorities & SIOP including engineering, delivery, quality, NPI, lead time, cost, and margin. Further, this role is responsible for outlining a multi-year growth playbook and investment profile for growth of parts and transition into repair activities as well continual addition of new parts to the product offering in conjunction with engineering that spans all components within the GEV Gas Power/Aero-Alliance portfolio.

A critical function of this leader would be to lead, foster and drive collaboration of global cross-functional teams including engineering, product line on the product portfolio and new product introduction, sourcing/materials/value stream/commercial JV on SIOP demand, supply chain selection, allocation and gap closure activities, and technical teams on industrialization to deliver high impact GSC Board decisions (Supply Chain Strategy Review Board - SCSRB) and subsequent execution. More specifically, this would involve being the Gas Power (GEV) focal point for coordinating all supply chain activities to ensure that the supply chain can deliver timely, competitive value and provide flexibility to support the overall product strategy of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a customer-centric GSC commodity strategy that is optimized around an SQDC driven value chain
  • Apply Standard Work governance (Supply Chain Strategy Review Board - SCSRB) and Daily Management to all activities in the space. L1 True North Strategy to L2 SCSRBs/Dashboard, L3 Escalations and L4 Core Team reviews
  • The scope of activity would include all Parts related to Aero components made internally and externally
  • Active awareness and collaboration with partner teams on technology shifts (with engineering), and SIOP (with the commercial and materials) and supply chain selection and project management (with sourcing) to ensure ability to deliver and adaptability of the supply chain to the changing dynamics
  • In-scope is also the need to be closely tied out with the Repairs strategy + full life cycle of the parts to better understand overall impact on the supply chain, margin to the business, and the ability to leverage synergies and capabilities to deliver the impact
  • Work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders and leaders across various functions to pull together cross-functional evaluations and solutions for the Supply Chain Board reviews (SCSRB)
  • Align capacity plans to SIOP needs; create baseline scenarios to handle constraints and gap alleviation via investment, process improvement sprints and kaizens, or a make-buy balance
  • Perform and refresh detailed, process mapping of global value chains, factories/supplier core competencies, capabilities, capacities, and gaps to meet business needs
  • Outline a multi-year Capex Growth Playbook for the business to enable execution of the strategy
  • Lead a data-driven comprehensive Make vs Buy/ROI evaluation and a supply chain selection and allocation decision-making BOARD (SCSRB) with Senior leaders from cross-functional organizations on critical KPIs to make, memorialize, monitor, execute and measure; ensure all supply chain shifts (new and emerging), breakthroughs, changes, disruptors are evaluated thoroughly using the SCSRB governance.
  • Ensure technology preparation of the supply chain in conjunction with Industrialization, engineering and understand the impact of cost-curves to technology curves to lead an analysis to the optimal deployment strategy. Align supply chain capabilities and capacity to forward leans, CAPAs, and upcoming NPIs
  • Focus on simplification of value chains by combining and consolidating routers and number of supply locations
  • Lead acquisition and partnership approaches as needed
  • Lead critical project management as needed
  • As required, support or catalyze negotiations and pivot decisions of sourcing with suppliers to execute strategy
  • As required, support development and sharing of forecast and demand plan
  • As required, run cross-functional fulfilment projects for special cases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in supply chain functions (strategy, sourcing, materials, project management, cost productivity) or a key partner function like engineering, product line, commercial pertaining to Aero (highly preferable) or very similar commodity.
