Builds and operates cloud‑first, API‑based solutions with a strong focus on automation and developer enablement. Owns the delivery of complex software from concept through production, solving ambiguous technical problems and continuously improving how applications are built, deployed, and operated. Prioritizes streamlined workflows that accelerate delivery and return time to development teams, while clearly communicating technical decisions and outcomes to stakeholders.

Principle Duties

  • Independently design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud‑first, API‑based applications from concept through production, applying industry best practices across the full software lifecycle.

  • Translate ambiguous or complex business and technical requirements into well‑designed, scalable technical solutions, making timely and effective design and implementation decisions with limited guidance.

  • Lead implementation of moderately complex features and services, including frontend, backend, data, and integration layers, while ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.

  • Design and implement backend services and APIs using modern frameworks and patterns, including data validation, persistence, and asynchronous or event‑driven processing.

  • Develop and maintain modern frontend applications, applying best practices for usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainable state management.

  • Design and evolve data models to support scalable, resilient systems, balancing performance, cost, and operational considerations.

  • Ensure code quality and system reliability through automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to established engineering standards.

  • Deploy and operate applications in cloud environments, leveraging cloud‑native services and infrastructure‑as‑code to support scalability, resiliency, and repeatability.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, identifying root causes and driving improvements to system stability and performance.

  • Communicate technical problems, trade‑offs, and solutions clearly to both technical peers and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve supported systems, proactively identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt, improve performance, and enhance developer and user experience.
