Job Description: 

Jira Infrastructure and Monitoring Administrator to ensure the stability and performance of our Jira environments. The candidate will have expertise in Linux server management, database administration, monitoring systems and Jira administration and configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
o Manage and maintain Linux servers, including Data Center (DC) configurations with load balancers.
o Administer Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
o Configure and manage shared homes using NFS/DFS for efficient data storage and access.
o Install, upgrade, and test Atlassian applications, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Monitoring and Alerting:
o Implement and maintain monitoring systems like Java Melody, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and InfluxDB.
o Develop bash scripts for automated monitoring and alerts.
o Proactively monitor Jira infrastructure to identify and resolve issues before they impact users.
o Respond to alerts promptly, diagnose root causes, and implement workarounds and long-term solutions.
Support and Enhancement:
o Provide technical support for Jira infrastructure and administration.
o Collaborate to enhance Jira performance and capabilities.
o Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans/protocols.
Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
o Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and incidents for management review.

Qualifications:

* Experience in Linux server administration, particularly in a Data Center environment.
* knowledge of Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL, influxDB database management, with DBA abilities and SQL query.
* Experience with shared home configurations using NFS/DFS.
* Proficiency in installing, upgrading, and testing Atlassian applications (Jira).
* Jira Administrator certification preferred.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Java Melody, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus.

* Ability to write and maintain bash scripts for automation and monitoring.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Responsiveness and responsibility in managing critical infrastructure and addressing issues.
