What You Will Do:

Guidehouse’s Energy Transition team works with energy companies, global corporations, financial institutions, and governments to deliver on, understand, and prepare for the transition of the energy system, resulting from emerging new technologies, decarbonization pressures, adaptation to climate events and/or extreme weather events, decentralization of the energy system, and digitalization of processes. We support our clients as they envision and prepare for this future by combining our market knowledge, objective modeling capabilities, and deep technical skills with strategic perspectives on the energy transition.

As Consultant in Guidehouse’s Energy Transition team, you will follow a clearly defined career path to continue to deepen your specialized industry knowledge and consulting skills. We encourage career development and long-term growth opportunities within the Guidehouse team. As you develop project management skills and leadership abilities, you will have the opportunity to progress to the Senior Consultant level.

As a Consultant in Guidehouse’s Energy Transition team, you will work to create and present client deliverables that support essential project workstreams.  You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations to support our clients.

Key responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Data collection, analysis, and cleaning including reviewing technical studies, methodologies, and public data
  • Fact-finding, research, and analysis, particularly around emerging trends and technologies
  • Reviewing new and evolving industry methodologies
  • Project documentation, including report writing and PowerPoint deck development
  • Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients and stakeholders
  • Supporting energy system modeling and technical studies

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Minimum Degree Required: Master's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in 2024 and graduate by Summer of 2025)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country
  • No sponsorship is available for this position

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical (Power Systems), Chemical, Environmental), Business, Economics, and/or related to Environment or Sustainability
  • Familiarity with economic and financial analysis and research
  • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
  • Heightened attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an interest in learning more about the energy transition

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
