Job Description Summary

As Senior Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the prompt payment of accounts receivables in order to maximize revenue management for BD. Responsibilitie include building and maintaining customer relationships, monitoring assigned AR Portfolio, ensuring timely payments, resolving customer concerns and assisting with resolution of escalated collection issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and reconcile customer accounts while identifying and facilitating the resolution of disputed receivables

  • Provide exceptional customer support by responding to account queries in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of customer contracts and their impact on the collections process, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer account documentation

  • Proactively escalate issues to internal support partners and Senior Management as appropriate

  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to Manager as appropriate

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in commercial collections with at least a high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of collection techniques including skip tracing and contract analysis experience

  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency combined with analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail and goal orientation

  • Superior written and oral communication skills with exceptional customer service abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment while effectively multitasking and setting priorities

  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to changing environments and lead without formal authority

Preferred Requirements:

  • Direct experience with SAP

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Experience working in a shared service center

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics
