Job Description Summary
Plan Director & Unit Site Leader is responsible for UNINDO’s overall performance, Joint Venture (JV) governance, and manufacturing excellence, while leading shareholder engagement, Board reporting, and strategic customer relationships.
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities
- A. Business & Strategy
- Partner with GEV Power Transmission Central and Regional Teams to develop and execute the Long-Term Strategy (LTS) and annual business plan
- Hold full P&L accountability (revenue, margin, EBITDA/%, cash flow, investments)
- Drive sustainable growth, competitiveness, and market positioning
- B. Joint Venture Governance
- Lead Shareholders’ Meetings – AGMS/EGMS (twice annually):
- Present business performance, KPIs, and key risks (AGMS)
- Present and align on budget, outlook, and strategic direction (EGMS)
- Chair Quarterly Board of Commissioners meetings:
- Review performance versus plan
- Highlight key risks, issues, and required strategic decisions
- Balance and align GEV governance standards with PLN prioritie
- C. Manufacturing & Site Leadership
- Manage an overall production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees.
- Typically, a 2nd line manager with senior professional direct reports. Has the ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
- Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
- D. Sales, Customers & EPC Relationships
- Serve as the primary company representative and key local interface for:
- PLN (as both partner and customer)
- Key customers across Utility, Industrial, and Generation segments
- Strategic EPC partners
- E. People, Culture & Compliance
- Build a strong leadership team and robust talent pipeline to ensure business continuity
- Set the tone for integrity, compliance, and a high-performance culture
- Ensure full compliance with:
- Applicable Indonesian laws and regulations
- GEV Code of Conduct
- JV and corporate policies
Required Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Business, or related field.
15+ years in the power and/or electrical industry or in general management roles
- Manufacturing leadership experience with exposure to transformers and/or substation equipment preferred
- Strong knowledge of power transmission equipment (transformers, substations, or grid infrastructure preferred)
