Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, you will provide on-going worldwide business support for EWM as well as working with IT and users to define, prioritize, communicate, test and implement system changes. You will assist with user testing, project sign off, worldwide communications and ongoing system support to minimize system outages resulting from quarterly and emergency release implementations and day-to-day operations

What You Will Do:

  • Lead testing efforts for all EWM related conversions as well as enhancements

  • Provide network EWM Super User support

  • Provide ServiceNow Incident Management & Resolution

  • During SPM conversion, work on requirements gathering and blueprinting, Testing, Training and Onsite support

  • Researches and consults on system and process solutions for internal and external users worldwide

  • Development and maintenance support responsibilities for EWM system- test emergency and/or system enhancement change requests, developing new users worldwide coordinating communications, and providing installation and support

  • Identifies and implements changes to Caterpillar parts distribution systems and processes often requiring researching different alternatives to accomplish goals

  • Accountable for ensuring all EWM projects are successfully implemented without negative impact on parts operations and customers

What You Have:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related technical field

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and/or supply chain

  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage and influence others outside the immediate organization

  • Willingness to work in night shift supporting US time zone.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of working time, with some periods being several weeks in duration

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar aftermarket parts distribution supply chain

  • Ability to lead projects individually

  • Ability to simplify complex information and develop/deliver clear communications

  • Experience and knowledge of SAP/SPM EWM system and functions

  • Strong analytical thought process

  • Strong PC Skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Bobj, PowerBI reports
