The team’s core mission is to improve the work day for Higher Education administrators and faculty through greater technical capability, while empowering students on their educational journeys. We are looking for creative, delivery focused and skilled machine learning and software engineers to help on a range of these challenges. You will realize that the sky's the limit to your growth–all while having fun!
As an ML Engineer, you will help develop data-driven, automated, comprehensive solutions using modern software and data engineering stacks to enable training, deployment, and lifecycle management of a variety of ML models – supervised and unsupervised, deep learning and classical etc. You will work closely with product managers, software engineers to deliver ML solutions that provide users enormous value and efficiency. Your work will also ensure that users have the best experience by providing predictive analytics and recommendations.
You will use Workday’s AI/ML development environment and resources on rich application datasets to deliver value that transforms the way our customers use our products. You will apply your highly technical problem solving, creative thinking and beautiful mind using the latest ML techniques and toolsets and make a huge impact on the world's largest enterprises that use Workday to run their most HR and Financial processes.
About You
Be part of a team of software developers and machine learning engineers
Learn all about various higher education data and processes
Own data exploration and transformation, feature engineering, design and enhance ML models/frameworks that deliver anomaly detection, prediction and recommendation solutions for [enterprise application].
Develop, maintain and enhance ML solutions that are highly usable, scalable and secure.

3+ yrs experience as part of a data science, machine learning software development team or relevant work in a graduate program.
Experience writing complex queries in databases like MySQL, NoSQL.
Experience creating and deploying REST API s using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
Experienced in handling large-scale, complex data sets, data modeling, and productizing AI algorithms.
Strong experience building applied ML/AI products, including taking a product through design, implementation, and to production is a plus.
Highly desired to have implemented a feedback loop based on user feedback.
Self motivated with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and resiliency.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
