Solution Consultant

We are looking to hire high-energy, and value-adding talent to join Modulr, one of the fastest growing payments businesses in the UK and Europe. This is a role in our sales team focusing on designing end-to-end payment solutions as part of taking to market our ever-expanding portfolio of API-first business payment solutions across a wide range of industry sectors. The role involves working alongside our sales executives and will also involve partnering extensively with our product, compliance and regulatory teams.

The Role

Key responsibilities

Solution Consultants play a vital role within Modulr working in a highly consultative fashion identifying client pain points, defining Modulr proposition fit and developing solutions tailored to customers’ needs.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor, throughout the sales engagement lifecycle, on Modulr products, solutions and best methods of integrating services.
  • Leveraging your expertise within payments, regulation and Modulr’s technology to drive forward client engagements.
  • Leading discovery sessions, solution design workshops, product demonstrations, impactful pitch presentations, RFI/RFP responses and developer Q&As.
  • Documenting solutions (covering regulatory and compliance principles, product operation, money flows and use of APIs) accurately and succinctly to ensure that all parties have clarity of the key points in the solutions being proposed.
  • Collaborating with our product teams to understand product details, identify product fit, and highlight feature enhancements and new product offers that Modulr can bring to market.
  • Collaborating with our compliance and regulatory teams to establish go-to-market models within an agreed compliance and regulatory framework.
  • Consistently build strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have relevant payments industry experience, ideally of account issuing and embedded payments, but card payments experience is also valuable.
  • Understand the fundamentals of regulation and compliance in relation to account issuing, payment services and card issuing.
  • Have experience in a sales consulting / pre-sales role (in addition, experience in roles such as technology, sales, account management or compliance could also be valuable).
  • Have experience of solution design in complex technical and financial regulatory domains.
  • Have strong skills in discovery, eliciting requirements, creating and delivering product and solution pitches.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in articulating complex solutions.
