Responsibilities:
Pursue targeted business at high-potential prospects with >$1 million in sales potential
Utilize sales processes and tools to understand decision-making processes and identify business results for prospects
Craft compelling messaging that motivates prospects to change
Secure and conduct face-to-face meetings with buying influencers
Prospect and generate new business consistently
Populate the sales funnel with value-added opportunities and accelerate them through the sales process
Negotiate to create value for the company
Manage, support, and grow new accounts
Develop and execute business strategies/account plans for assigned customers
Provide monthly analysis of performance versus targets
Prepare and maintain accurate 18-month Rolling Forecasts and Annual Budgets
Manage working capital aspects including inventory and receivables
Work closely with Product Development, Market Development, and other support functions
Lead and motivate customer-focused teams of cross-functional associates
Develop mastery of company products, services, and offerings
Provide unique, critical perspectives to improve customers' businesses and outline ROI of commercial relationships
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or experience in a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the packaging industry
Proven success in new business development and strategic account management
Experience working with consumer packaged goods companies and/or OEMs is desired
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
Ability to travel 50-60% of the time
