Enterprise Account Manager – UPS Supply Chain Solutions (Healthcare Freight Forwarding)
UPS Supply Chain Solutions (UPS SCS) is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with our most strategic healthcare customers across Europe. This senior commercial role focuses on advancing UPS SCS’s healthcare freight forwarding portfolio — including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Brokerage, and Temperature-Controlled (Cold Chain) solutions — while ensuring full alignment with our global Healthcare strategy and Quality Management System (QMS).
You will act as the strategic partner for enterprise customers in pharma, biotech, medical device, and clinical trial logistics, delivering compliant, high-visibility, and high-reliability supply chain solutions. You will collaborate extensively with SCS Operations, Healthcare Quality, Freight Forwarding Product teams, Solutions Engineering, and Global Account Management to drive long-term value and sustainable revenue growth.
This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial leader who excels in complex solution selling, senior stakeholder engagement, and navigating regulated healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Ownership
- Serve as the primary commercial owner for a portfolio of high-value enterprise healthcare accounts.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships within customer organizations (Director, VP, C-suite).
- Develop and execute long-term strategic account plans aligned with UPS SCS Healthcare strategy.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), performance reviews, and multi-year roadmap discussions.
Enterprise Commercial Growth
- Identify and drive revenue opportunities across Air, Ocean, Road, Brokerage, and SCS Healthcare Cold Chain services.
- Lead and coordinate complex RFQs, RFPs, and multi-year contract negotiations.
- Expand wallet share through value-added offerings (e.g., UPS Premier visibility, Quality Assurance Support, Packaging Services, and compliance-driven solutions).
- Ensure enterprise growth is aligned with profitability targets and customer expectations.
Healthcare Solution Expertise
- Demonstrate deep understanding of GDP/GxP requirements, temperature-controlled logistics, shipment monitoring, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations, Healthcare Quality, and Solutions Engineering to design customer-specific solutions.
- Support risk assessments, deviation management discussions, and CAPA alignment when required.
- Ensure solutions and service delivery comply with UPS Healthcare QMS and regulatory frameworks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Regional Product, Operations, Brokerage, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure operational readiness and performance.
- Partner with Global/Key Account Management teams to align enterprise strategies across regions.
- Act as the senior escalation point for service issues requiring customer-facing leadership.
- Drive internal coordination on pricing, capacity planning, service commitments, and customer onboarding.
Sales Governance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, pricing, and account insights in UPS systems (e.g., DMo, CRM platforms).
- Deliver reports on account performance, profitability, and business risk to SCS leadership.
- Ensure full adherence to UPS SCS commercial processes, pricing governance, and compliance guidelines.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in sales, logistics, or supply chain.
- 5–10+ years in enterprise sales or key account management within Freight Forwarding or Healthcare Logistics.
- Strong understanding of UPS SCS solutions (Air/Ocean/Road Freight, Brokerage, Healthcare Cold Chain).
- Deep knowledge of GDP/GxP, temperature management, product security, and healthcare compliance.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations and managing multi-million-dollar portfolios.
- Executive-level communication skills and strategic influencing capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to assess pricing, profitability, and commercial risk.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings and internal strategy sessions.
