Executive Director – Fixed Income Securitized Products Technology

The Executive Director – FI Securitized Technology is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Trading Systems in accordance with the needs of the Securitized Products businesses. Responsibilities include evaluating, scheduling and resourcing development projects, understanding user needs, developing, testing and maintaining trading applications, and preparing systems documentation. Executes technical plans, system analysis, detailed design specifications, development, unit and integration testing.

Provides technical leadership and management of systems design, development, support and team resources. Develops and exercises business plans, firm policies and procedures and may also be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies. Manages a specific department, product or process within a specific technology and business area. Maintains significant industry experience; expected to be subject matter expert in multiple or specific technical skill sets and business domains.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: 15+ years’ experience in field or similar industry

Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience and strong background in developing and managing global trading systems within Capital Markets
  • Prior experience and strong background in relevant technologies (Java, .Net / C#, Angular / ReactJS, Kafka / Solace, Sybase / Oracle)
  • Prior extensive experience in integration of vendor platforms (ION, Bloomberg TOMS, Murex, Polypaths)
  • Prior extensive experience in developing applications in FI Securitized Products domain
  • Prior experience in managing a development team of 5-10
  • Able to manage yearly technology budget, finances, BoW and resource allocation
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships within IT and with the business
  • Able to analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion
  • Able to assimilate relevant data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend appropriate courses of action to take.
  • Able to coach and manage team members in the development of their skills.
  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Able to identify areas of risk/concern in area of responsibility.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$216,000.00 USD

Maximum:

$320,000.00 USD
