Role Overview

The Senior Manager will drive key commercial improvements over a 6‑month period, focusing on:

  • Segmentation & Targeting
  • Opportunity Management & Pipeline Discipline
  • Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) & Productivity

Also responsible for partnering in CRM capability development with business stakeholders and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer/account segmentation and targeting strategies tailored to Japan
  • Develop opportunity management processes and sales pipeline KPIs
  • Assess and enhance SFE practices, territory optimization, and incentive structures
  • Guide CRM deployment and adoption, translate requirements into user stories, and deliver training
  • Engage with local and global teams for seamless change management
  • Establish success metrics and document processes for post-assignment continuity

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s/MBA is preferred.
  • 8+ years in MedTech, Pharma, Healthcare, or B2B commercial roles.
  • Strong background in Commercial Excellence/SFE/CRM solutions.
  • Analytical skills with proven ability to generate actionable insights.
  • Cross-functional experience and stakeholder influencing capability.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.

Desirable:

  • Prior Japan commercial excellence/sales ops experience
  • Salesforce.com or similar CRM platform proficiency
  • Change management and training experience
