What you will do

Leadership and Team Development:
- Supervise and mentor the team of Engineering Data Administrators responsible for part attribution and UNSPC part classifications.
- Establish clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to provide constructive feedback and recognize achievements.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating knowledge sharing and innovative problem-solving within the team.

Data Management & Oversight:
- Supervise the VAVE process to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement in product design and manufacturing.
- Review the VAVE reviews, ensuring evaluations are documented and actionable insights are generated.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of part data, enforcing data governance policies and standards across the organization.
- Enhance part data with required attributes to effectively describe the item and meet data management standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to define data requirements and implement effective data management practices.

Change Management:
- Supervise the ECR tracking process, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Evaluate and supervise change requests, assessing impacts on design, manufacturing, and project timelines.

Operational Coordination:
- Oversee the operational support provided by the Engineering Data Administrators, ensuring that data management processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Serve as a point of contact for managers and staff regarding inquiries related to engineering data management, maintaining a strong customer service focus.

Strategic Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Actively participate in strategy meetings and discussions to share insights and drive alignment across departments.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members on data governance and VAVE best practices, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of changes.

What we look for

Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in PTC Windchill PLM and a comprehensive understanding of data management processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PDF tools; familiarity with data management software is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality outputs, particularly under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information/Document Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in data governance and management processes, with a robust understanding of manufacturing workflows.
- Comprehensive knowledge of document control systems, emphasizing compliance and operational efficiency.
