Job Summary

Responsible for the oversight and execution of the Big South Marketing Event Team, creating experiences that drive customer engagement and subscriber growth in the Region’s network expansion projects and hyper-competitive communities. Leads the strategy for sales events from initial concept based on community demographics to the final analysis on sales effectiveness. Works cross-collaboratively with other departments to plan for drive-to-event direct mail, press releases, and social media activations. Coordinates with field sales staff for event staffing and execution, and local technical staff for on-site connectivity activity. Serves as marketing contact for
employees and outside vendors. Tracks event sales, community subscribers, analyzes results and draws conclusions about performance in order to recommend improvements to event marketing strategies and tactics. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance to employees and other departments as required. Develops process and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of, departmental budget.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop sales events that support our network expansion and hyper-competitive communities that appropriately target the different demographics of the community, and result in a strong return on investment and on-site sales.
  • Creation and implementation of processes and procedures to support our Event Sales Team with uniforms, event assets, marketing collateral and swag that keeps our team on brand and representing Xfinity and Comcast.
  • Creating new opportunities to support the Event Sales Team like online booking pages and strategies that drive growth for the Sales Team.
  • Work cross-departmentally to coordinate marketing materials that will drive event traffic in advance, including postcards and doortags, press releases, social media and more. 
  • Create processes and procedures for big event assets, and coordinating with tech and fleet staff on any maintenance needed, and reporting and analyzing the sales effectiveness and ROI.
  • Tracks and manages event marketing expenses in order to ensure that they are within budget parameters.
  • Partner with counterparts across the company to develop share best-in-class event opportunities, ideas and execution strategies.  Coordinate with partners to leverage HQ-funded assets and leverage HQ-funded event opportunities. 
  • Develop and execute a sales events strategy that support our university, back-to-school focus that include Student-Focused MDU Sales Events and on-campus activations.
  • Gathers and communicates marketing campaign information and subscriber feedback in order to promote a common understanding of event marketing campaigns, changes and issues.
  • Creates reporting to measure success of marketing programs, in order to recommend improvements to event marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Assists with maintaining and improving ongoing marketing programs, analyses and reports.
  • Develops new ideas and communicates potential uses for event performance across the business.
  • Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
