Job Description

The School of Nursing (SON) assessment and testing coordinator works with stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, and staff, as the frontline coordinator for assessment and testing services across the continuum of SON academic programs, including the SON off-campus instructional sites. The assessment and testing coordinator must be organized in coordinating the complexities of assessment and testing, demonstrate enthusiasm, be an active participant in problem-solving, and be comfortable managing ambiguity and multiple priorities. This position will be located in Stephenville and report to the SON's Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate. Requires the ability to teach and/or work remotely at the University’s discretion.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports faculty in accessing and posting appropriate testing assessment-related materials in the software platform related to SON courses, 

  • Coordinates the administration of HESI (or similar type assessment platform) and other national board prep simulations (e.g., Kaplan),

    • Orders appropriate materials for such sessions

    • Arranges onsite board review sessions with external organizations (e.g., Kaplan Review),

  • Collects and analyzes learner assessment outcomes to appropriate administration and faculty committees as outlined in the continuous program improvement plan,

  • Collaborates and participates in the continuous program improvement process by:

    • Creating and maintaining a data collection repository

    • Facilitating reporting of data to appropriate administration and faculty

    • Developing and contributing to assessment/testing policy and best practice

    • Evaluates mapping of assessment outcomes to program outcomes

  • Supports faculty in monitoring or proctoring testing sessions,

  • Ensures security and confidentiality of assessment materials and learner performance records,

  • Develop and work within the timelines provided and perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Education/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience ,Bachelor of Science in statistics, data analytics preferred

  • Two years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in statistics, data analytics, or equivalent degree

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Salary: 

Commensurate with experience  

 

The target base salary is $44,000 may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
