Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum FTE (dependent on experience)

Location: Calder Vets ( Sandal / Wakefield)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Part-Time applications welcome)

Hours: 40hrs FTE (No out of hours)

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for veterinary surgeons to work in our multi-site RCVS accredited practice. The role can be adapted to suit and could include surgery, consulting, or medical work as desired. Sandal and our Wakefield  

We see a great deal of interesting cases alongside routine work and there are opportunities for development and leadership if desired. As a large team we have a wide variety of experience in house and via external network to offer you tailored support or case discussion.

The practice is very well equipped with high quality equipment including CT scanner, in house lab and top of the range ultrasound and radiography.

The main hospital has a dedicated-on site OOH team, so no nights required and is the central hub to seven smaller external clinics. We are ideally looking for FT but PT would be considered. Weekends are one-in-four days only.

All sites are cat, dog and rabbit friendly and have a well-established friendly team. They are all equipped with blood machines, ultra-sound and good first opinion kit.
